Default Best iPhone, iPad and Mac apps for developers

Hi,

as iPhone developer I'm looking for useful apps for our devices. I'm sure you know good ones. So share with us what you're using everyday.

I'd like to make this thread complete guide to USEFUL Apps for iPhone/iPad development.

If you can, write a very short description what app / program is for to keep this thread clear.

On the Mac, I use Path Finder for file management, GIMP for image editing, Reaper for audio editing and mixing, App Viz 2 for sales tracking.

I agree with the Simulator cropper - very useful.

I have also been looking, and can only find one - with slightly varying reviews - for an Objective-c editor for my iPad. I prefer using that to do my website stuff at the moment rather than my laptop and as such want something that i can edit my projects on my iPad. Unfortunately there isn't anything like it at the moment. the best would be Xcode for iOS that uses iCloud to store the documents - that would be tres tres cool!

y vote goes for the simulator cropper, i ve worked on it for quite a while and it proved to be quite user-friendly. I would like to give a +1 to simulator cropper.

The main feature which attracts me in comparison to others is the user-friendliness of it. Thanks for starting the thread, I hope we would be able to have a fruitful discussion here about the developer's tools.

I'm very happily using Textastic.

Why do you need that Simulator Cropper ? Why not use a default command to take screenshot - CMD+S ? Is it that hard to remove the status bar? Also why not leave it, it looks much better with status bar for me..

It does not work with iPad on low res screens.

because it automatically does the cropping so i don't have to remove the status bar. It auto names the images, makes sure they are the correct format and size and is one click. Preference thing i guess, i just don't have time to take my screens then mess with them in photoshop or whatever i would want to use to then crop them properly.
