2 UITableView Controllers in 1 xib -didSelectRowAtIndexPath method not reached

Noob here... I have 1 xib with 2 UITableViews. I have 2 different classes that determine the data to be displayed and hooked up to the corresponding delegates and datasources. The row appears fine in each of the tables but the didSelectRowAtIndexPath method doesn't react. I set a breakpoint and it never reaches it. I set the hooks in Interface Builder. Any help here please?
