Default Des, 3Des, Sha1...Question

Hi all,

I want to use some encryption method, but I don't know which component can still use and accepted by APP Store.

1. OpenSSL
2. CommonCrypto
3. Chilkat

Just in response to the title of your post, SHA'ing isn't encryption, it's a one-way hashing function. You can hash your data, store the hash, encrypt the data, decrypt the data, run the hash function again to validate what you put in, is the same as what you get out.

You could try the "BlowFish" encryption algorithm: iphone - Blowfish objective-c implementation - Stack Overflow

I don't think you'll have any problems adding it to your app, just remember you have to jump through hoops with Apple to get it into the store as different countries have different rules on exporting encryption algorithms so no doubt there will be lots of paperwork.
