Leak instrument doesn't work on devices

Hello,

My leaks instrument doesn't work on devices. The program starts but it doesn't record anything and it doesn't give me the opiton to attach itself to a target when trying to run it against a device. However when running in the simulator it works fine, starts up and starts recording. I have different devices and it doesn't work on either of them. Verizon iPhone, iPod touch 4th gen, iPhone 3g.

It used to work no problem but then I decided to try out ios5. So I updated my xcode, my itunes, and the ipod to ios5. Then I had some issues and decided to roll everything back. I rolled xcode back first, then ipod. Then I realized that the leaks tool doesn't work and thought maybe I had to roll back itunes as well so I did that. The strange thing is that other tools do work on devices, like Energy Diagnostics tool for exapmle. I'm seriously getting ready to just reinstall the OS. Any clue whats going on?
