Light won't go green under Organizer->Devices->myIPad

OK, I got a problem. The xcode just won't see that my iPad is connected. Yes I checked that the USB cable is connected and all. However, everytime I launch Windows->Organizer from xcode menu, the light that is normally green is still grey (yes grey). I have tried numerous usb cables and still same thing. It works OK if an iPhone(iOS4.1 8B117) is connected, but not my iPad (iOS4.2.1 8C148). This app was running fine a month ago on the iPad when it was on a lower version of iOS (3.2). What could be wrong, what should I attempt next? Thanks for all pointers.

Oh I forgot to mention, the current version of xcode is 3.2.5
