Iphone simulator black screen

OS Ideneb 10.5.8 under vmware
I have installed iphone sdk 3.1.2 + xcode
after install i'm try to run Iphone Simulator
and got blackscreen.jpg

When try build app into simulator it looks like all go fine ... but screen show nothing

already tried : reinstall sdk ,reset iphone simulator

have you any ideas what to do for fix it

PS sdk 2.2.1 work fine
maybe this connected with video configuration in OS ?
