Default How hard is COCOS2D

Hi everyone,
just another simple question...

I have some experience in working with IOS SDK..
and I have published 2 applications in itunes store

currently I am trying to create my FIRST Game Application and it's going to be an RPG game..

after I did some research, I will have to make use of COCOS2D..
and my question is "How hard is COCOS2D ??"

I am quite confident with my objective C,
however i have no experience in working with Graphics , Images or Animations at all

Using "cocos2d" is not hard. Making something cool is a bit tougher.

Cocos-2D is a wonderful library, it's mostly written in Obj-C but has pure C parts for expensive stuff. Cocos is not hard to use, and you can get a nice game working quite fast! it shouldn't take up so much that it affects the download size of your app

I was in your shoes! I had a utility app in the store but really wanted to develop a game. Having never developed a game, I did some research and went went with Cocos 2D. I picked up "Learning Cocos2d" by Rod Strougo and Ray Wenderlich. A month later I have a game on the app store! Its really not hard and great fun to develop a game with Cocos2D!

P.S. if you want to check out my game its in my sig (Tiny Cupid)

i started by reading Ray Wenderlich's tutorials. Didn't even bother to learn Objective C, just picked it up along the way ( the tutorials get harder over time ).

My two cents would be to learn what is needed to create the game that you need, and pick new things up along the way to improve on it. It's one way of learning how to make a game fast, and ship it.
