Post Steve Jobs Memorial Game

hello guys

in the context of the recent demsie of the apple ceo steve jobs we decided to programm an app in his memory.
it will be a jump and run game in which he will fight cancer to symbolize his struggles with the disease that took his life way too early.

we are a small team of talented programmers from the Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany. so we already have the necessary programming skills, but we still lack some good ideas concerning enemy design and storyline.

since we want to make this game for everyone we would be very happy to implement your ideas. the final product will of course be free of charge.

best regards

- RIP Steve Jobs

That idea could be rife with legal issues from the family and Apple.
You are using an unauthorized likeness of a public figure.
And, call me oversensitive, but it seems a tad bit insensitive and bad taste.

I'm not advocating the idea, but if you were going to memorialize his struggles you should make the enemies entities like IBM, Microsoft, John Scully, etc.
But even those identities present legal issues.

The RIP at the end of your post is very ironic. Do his memory a favor and create something useful and respectful.

If anyone makes a memorial app, you need apples permission. And you must keep in mind that this app will be built for millions of people. It should be free. And just a simple wallpaper of Mr. Jobs with the apple logo in the background would make it worth the download. I have had a simaliar idea but I have no skills for programing said app. And idk if I'm allowed to post links, but you guys should read about this church wanting to picket his funeral. Sorry devs if I'm not allowed to post! Westboro Baptist Church to picket funeral of Steve Jobs — RT

You don't even need an app to make a memorial wallpaper.
Just copy the splash page photo of Steve Jobs at Apple's web site, and make it the wallpaper or home screen background on your iPhone or iPad.
Easy.

A game app reduces his life to a cartoon and trivializes his contribution and struggle.

I agree with you 1000% about the game. And not all of us want his face on our Idevices. More like I was aiming at a small iPhone or iPad app with a nice picture of him and his life span dates. just something to simple to let others know you support his cause.
