I'm looking @ SIO2, Unity, Unreal and others but concerned about cost/benefit and heard a rumor that Apple might reject apps that are base on these engines.
Just checked out Oolong and noticed the posts stopped almost 2 years ago, is Oolong still a live project?
I know SIO2 is no longer a free product, but how does it compare to Unity and Unreal?
I just looked at the Unreal Dev Kit and didn't see support for the OSX Op Sys, does it just support Windows?
I havnt started yet but have been looking at Cocos so far.
Unreal is used in Infinity Blade, and was part of one of the presentations last year for the release of either the iPhone 4 or iPad (can't remember which) but it should definitely be available for use in iOS and should not get rejected. Last i looked though I'm sure they want 25% royalties - that would leave you with only 45% revenue...

Yea it does have a heavy price tag and I don't see an option to just pay a set price.
I wonder if the same thing could be done with Unity or IOS2.
Well Cocos do have a 3D engine now don't they? sure last time i checked i saw one. But i don't know how good it is or how much community support is there around it.
May be worth a look into, but i think imma reserve judgement until i get the time to sit away from my current project so i can move onto a game - all day coding for work i don't want to be going home and doing 3/4 more hours of it grr!
Oh and on the Samsung front - yeah very very off topic - also played with a new on this weekend - user-friendly is not what i would call it. but hey now i digress :P
