Xcode 4 and iOS 4.3.3

Hi,

I just have got an iPhone 3gs with iOS 4.3.3. I wished to use it for development but seems like Xcode 3.2.3 doesn't recognize the new iOS.

I am currently downloading xcode_4.0.2_and_ios_sdk_4.3.dmg file from the apple site.

My question is: Do you think this xcode version is compatible with ios 4.3.3? Would I be able to keep developing for the ios 3.1? Also, should I uninstall the older xcode version before trying to install the newer one? Any problems involved in the process?

If you're downloading it now, it'll recognize the latest SDK, so 4.3.3. Not that the last .3 really makes any difference over 4.3…

Yes, 3.1 would still be supported—you just have to change the deployment target. Plenty of info about that around here. You don't need to uninstall the old version—it'll be displaced automatically. You could though if you have no need of Xcode 3 anymore.
