Default I think I know how to make loads of money off of in-app ads!!!!

My idea is that you make an app free and place ads in it. When user opens it the first time it will tell them they have to click the ad to make the app work(until the user does that no feature will work) and than using NSUserDefaults track if the user tapped the ad and make the app function

Will this violate terms of use?

Probably instant rejection. Loved Steve Jobs' quip about iMovie for iPhone 4 - "if we approve it" lol

Apple probably won't like it, and you'd have to check with the Ad service as well as it might also violate their rules.

One points of agreement: you can not ask users to click ads.

The iAd Network offers you a new, easy-to-implement source of revenue through incorporating iAd rich media ads in your applications. Apple sells and serves the ads, and you receive 60 percent of the advertising revenue.

Learn more about getting started with the iAd Network, how to prepare your apps for iAd, and how to create iAd rich media ads.
I doubt they will allow you to force users to click the ads though.
