Post Using Mac Keyboard to Emulate iPhone Input

Hello there,

Having recently got into games development on the iPhone, I was wondering if there was a function in/available for the iPhone Simulator that maps key presses on your Mac keyboard to touches on the simulator screen.

I ask as it would be useful particularly for games development. If you imagine specific rectangular areas of the touch screen representing button presses, if you're not ready to test on your iPhone yet, it would be really useful to map, say, the Z key of your keyboard to one rectangular area, X to another, and so on, so your Mac keyboard presses would emulate touching those areas on the real device.

Any thoughts / advice much appreciated.

Cheers,

Nick
