The problem is with tutorial 05. It works correct, but when instead of the "checkerplate.png" the file "romo.png" is loaded( after copying from tutorial 11) then the left blue triangle is not displayed. ( At least at the simulator)
This problem has been swiftly responded by Mr. Simon Maurice, the author of the tutorial. It turns out that that texture drawing code must be delimited by
glEnable( GL_TEXTURE_2D) and glDisable( GL_TEXTURE_2D)
