Default Best file compression and sound quality for iphone?

I am looking for the best compression and sound quality for iphone?

Here are the formats for iphone
Audio

* Frequency response: 20Hz to 20,000Hz
* Audio formats supported: AAC, Protected AAC, MP3, MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV

Which should I go for, I have 5 hours of audio, I want to get it under 100mb, I could at a pich half my audio and make it 2.5 hours. What are my options to get the sound compressed while still getting some decent quality.

My master is a .wav in 44,100hz 16 bit stereo.

Give AQuA Wideband a try:

The procedure is simple, just request an evaluation with MP3 and OGG optimization scripts and the suite and you get the best quality/compression ratio out of your audio. I am sure if you ask for hints to make sure it fits 100Mb they will help you too.

Regards,
Mike

Default

i did aac-ima4 with 44,100, 16 bit stereo for my game Private Joe. worked like a charm.

not sure if there's code that would help look for an optimal point between quality and filesize. Would be awesome if there is!
