Navigation button (navbutton) change?

hey, im Sorta new to this ipod stuff. and idk if the iphone and ipod file system are the same, and i have an ipod 1g V. 3.1.3 and is jailbroken. i want to know how to change the navbuttons (Like the back button). i want to change the color of the background and text. also would want to change a few other things. and any help would be nice. i know this is an iphone forum, but i thought it might work.

ok the things i would like to do:
•change the (nav buttons) -

•change On/off button color -

•change background color of tab thingy (the white background color) -

please help, and sorry if this is too much...

First of all, this should be called the iOS Dev SDK Forum. Anyway, if you want iOS 5 (a bit watered down), try white d00r, and that will change the look a bit. Other then that, go to some jailbreak forum.
