Default how do i get this dock menu to show????

I'm using Xcode 4.2 ... the book i'm using is asking me to connect a picker to a Files Owner Placeholder.... but i don't know how to bring the dock up.

I've shown a screenshot attached of what they are viewing... along with what i have....

4.2 xcode seems to use "storyboard"... i'm guessing that's the xib file... i see the play button you posted... and when clicking that i only get "class view controller scene" ... as shown in my screenshot before.... ????

ahhh found the answer myself... the answer is can't.
storyboards are inclusive of the xib... so the menu WON'T exist when i chose storyboard usage in creating the project.

to get this menu, i need to use the old method of project creating... by UNCHECKING "use storyboard" in the beginning.

article shows this : xcode4.2 - Finding File Owner in Xcode 4.2 - Stack Overflow
