App size is 22.3 mb, will it decrease when submitted?

Hi everyone, my final copy of the app is 22.3 mb that Im testing and debugging right now. Im going to submit it tomorrow to the apple store, will its size decrease when its uploaded?

I have a lot of PNG's and 1 sound file, the rest is code. Im hoping to be under 20 mb to be downloaded via 3g so i want to know if when I upload it and its on the apple store, do they compress it somehow? Thank you in advanced.

Yes it will be decrease. Before your app approved it will compressed by apple, and it may be go to 17 MB

I wouldn't bet on it. If you're ipa is 22mb then it's already being compressed. Apple encrypts your binary then recompresses it. I would aim for 18mb for your final size. Just to be safe.

I just acrhived it and checked its size. it was 15.7 mb SO you are right. Thank you.

What is an IPA?

22mb is the folder that holds all the files before I archive. When I archive its 15.7 mb. What is an IPA?

Just googled it, NO the project is not in an IPA format yet. So im safe
