I have made a couple of basic apps in the past, but I have been asked to make an app for someone, that involves a large amount of audio files.
Basically the app will be like a daily devotional teaching app (almost like a podcast), so there will be 365 pre recorded messages.
Now the person wants all 365 messages available so that anyone can start on any given day and follow it for a year. Now I have made an app before that had audio but it was very few compared to this and it was stored directly on the app.
I am assuming that I will not be able to store these audio files on the app as it will be too large of a file. So any help on how I would store these files to be played through the app would be awesome.
well you are either storing it on the app or you are creating a very complicated server download system. the scope of those two options is vastly different.
Unless you are planning spending the next 6 months coding this, I would suggest storing them on the device.
Thanks for your reply. Yeah I definitely don't want to be coding this for the next 6mths
So maybe I could see if they wanted to store a months worth at a time or something like that.
Also do you think it would be better to make a website for the teachings then turn the website into an app?
