Xcode not starting properly?.. hanging? 4.2.1

Hi all, wondered if anyone can help me. I have been using Xcode no problem for ages but yesterday it wouldn't start properly (I had just tested it on a new iPhone but don't know if that is part of the problem).

It tries to open but just shows empty Xcode screens, some say 'no editor' some are just empty. No code at all is getting onto he Xcode screens.

I can not click on anything in Xcode at all, it just has a spinning circle. I have to do a force quit, where it says Xcode not responding. I did get a problem report yesterday which included the line... event:hang.

On other user accounts on the computer, Xcode is still working.

What would your recommend? I am considering uninstalling then reinstalling Xcode. would this be a good idea?

Any help would be great as I am very worried about this.

Just an update in case anyone else has a similar problem.

The error seemed to be connected to adding the iPhone. I have removed references to the iPhone in the portal and, eventually, after several attempts, in the organiser.

Xcode seems to be working now.
