Stopping all sound?

Hi - is there a way to globally stop a sound playing?
I'm using this method to play the sound:

<audio loop id="8000">
<source src="8000.mp3">
</audio>
<button onclick="document.getElementById('8000').play()">1 6kHz</button>



I have several buttons, so I want one 'stop all' playing button? This stops the one sound but how do I stop any sound that is playing without a separate stop button for each?

<button class="ui-body-b" onclick="document.getElementById('8000').pause(); document.getElementById('8000').currentTime = 0;" >Stop Zapping</button>

Er.. this relates to iOS development because it's part of an App i'm developing for iOS.

Right, okay. While this does pertain to iOS development since it's part of your app, this forum isn't the right place to get an answer to your specific problem. I assume from your tag that this is HTML 5. Most people here won't know HTML 5 because it's not a critical or required part of iOS development and therefor will not be able to help you. Correct me if I'm wrong. I suggest StackOverFlow, those guys know everything.
