3 Rejections in 1 month
They said it was for guidelines 12.3 and not offering enough native iOS functions. All 3 apps are for different churches, content completely different. I won the first appeal and still waiting on other two. Here is my response to the most recent. What do y'all think? BTW, the first app they rejected that was similar to this (but had no blogs, and no options to save anything) did get approved after I appealed. That one is Oak Gardens Church of Christ if you would like to get it for free and see if you agree with the original reviewer or not. It will also give you an idea for the other 2 that were rejected.
This is significantly different from Safari, and includes more than web clippings. It also uses several features and functions that are unique to the iOS experience, and very different from Safari.
* It has the iOS 5 built-in Twitter functionality and Account Store for sharing of articles easily with a button press.
* It has a blog that will be updated often with new articles. This differs from the Safari experience as it once again uses the iOS TableView to display the articles.
* You may share the articles via Twitter, Facebook, or Email, all from within the app.
* You may even save the articles in the app, and view them in the 'Archived' section to read back at any time later easily. This is yet another thing that is unique to the iOS functions, and not the Safari web-browsing experience.
* It also has a video blog called Examining the Evidence, displayed with the iOS TableView.
* The seminar dates are clickable to view in Calendar, or make calls to the contact number for that specific speaking engagement.
* You can use the iOS specific MailComposerController to send email from within the app.
* The info button presents information with a flip view unique to iOS.
* Push Notifications are built into the app to let the user know of changes to speaking dates, new blog articles/videos, and other important information about Focus Press.
Please take into consideration all of these things that ARE UNIQUE to the app that Safari cannot do, especially the archiving articles, and Push Notifications, and review this again, and approve it, as it is significantly different from the Safari experience, and deserves a place in the AppStore.
