Image format help
Hi,
I'm starting development on an app that will require the transfer of large image files to the iphone. And then animating those images inside our app. I am not a developer, I am the creator of the concept so my trachnical knowledge is somewhat limited.
Traditionally we have used PNG format on the web. Now that we are moving into the mobile world we are thinking about using vector graphics. Specifically we are likely to use Adobe flex to create the app and have been thinking about using FXG format.
So my question is can we use the phone to quickly convert PNG images to FXG. Our intent it to allow the images to render and animate as quickly and smoothly as possible. Or must we already have the data in FXG format when it is transferred to the phone?
Thank you in advance for any advice!
Jeff
