iMessage API?

Hey Guys,


We'd love to interface with iMessage for our app, and there is an API available.

However, is anyone familar with just how much flexibility the API has?

For example, can you send/receive messages within in your app? Or is it locked down and limited where you only have the ability for your app to initiate a new message using iMessage?
