If you do it in IB then no. If you create it through code then yes. They have an "image" property that you set, passing a UIImage object you want it to display.

Ok...i did it...i want to draw pictures to put into my app for iphone...what size should each image be so it looks just as i drew it from the paper to the ipod....

You should (already have) read the Human Interface Guidelines: Loading… .... though I'm not sure I understand the paper remark.
