Localization for Hong Kong

Hi, I've read in the developer guide that when people visit itunes from Hong-Kong they get the English localized version. What would be the advantage then of me specifically localizing my app for Hong-Kong if what they see in the store is English?

hi, why not localize your app for the big China region? There are millions iphone, ipad users in China, taiwan, hongkong. I think a chinese version will make your app more popular.

I will, however, I'd still like to know if it's wise to do the translations, eg:

Location: Hong-kong, Language: Malay
Location: China, Language: Mandarin

Is the split for Hong-Kong worth it, if the text will come up in English in the Hong-Kong AppStore?

As a Chinese from mainland, my suggestion is no need to localize the app for honking. Firstly, the hongkong people with good education are used to use english app. Another reason is the total hongkong population is 7 million. But there are at least 10 million iOS users in china mainland. So I suggest you make the localization for china. If it is a not big work, you can make a localization for hongkong too.
