Default Core Animation or Cocos2d?

Hi,

For our next 2D animation iPhone application, we received two proposals: one developer wants to do it in cocos2d, the other - regular Core Animation.

Is there any advantage of cocos2d vs Core Animation?

All of our previous apps used core animation, so I'm unfamiliar with cocos2d.

What do you think?

Who is going to support it? You or them. If it is you and you are not familiar with cocos2d, than go for the one you are familiar.

Thanks for you reply. None of our apps use webservices or server connections or databases, so they don't usually require much support, they either work or they don't. But your point is very valid, something to think about. Thanks
