Default Is it possible to inject recorded audio into phone call?

Hi All,

I suspect the answer to this question is "no" but I'd prefer to ask more experienced developers before giving up. A friend approached me with an idea for an app that would involve injecting audio into a phone call. My preliminary searches indicate that you can't -- and it would make sense in light of the kinds of capabilities that Apple tends to restrict. But, before I say "uh-uh", does anyone know for certain whether this is possible?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Not possible, I tried to do something similar once but I realized that when you are on a phone call it reduces the volume of the speaker so that anything coming out of it can't be heard by the mic. So your only approach is a jailbroken app.

O.Z. -- I was afraid that this might be another capability that required jailbreaking. {sigh} I know that the courts have forced Apple, etc. to allow it but I don't want to chance jeopardizing my relationship with them for legitimate apps. Thanks for your input.
