i have a folder on a server X inside which are some images randomly named
is there a way to get all the images inside the folder and display them without knowing their name???
Not sure. But even if there were I'd still do a bit of server side programming (ASP, PHP, whatever you prefer) and create script that will, when hit, return a list of files. It gives you much more control, better error handling, you can return the data in any format you like, etc.
