How to build final version and submit to app store.

Hi there, this may be obvious but how do you build a final version of your app, create a provisioning profile and install the app on a device, using xcode 4, IN AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE.

Do you have to create a provisioning profile first, as 'Archive' in the product menu is greyed out.

I am really confused.

Then, can anyone tell me how to upload to the app store!

Thanks so much, this is the first time I am doing this.
