Default Coding a Custom Keyboard

Hey Everyone,

I wrote a simple app that is basically just a calculator with an interface to calculate insulin dosages. I'd like to know if it's possible to develop a keyboard (activated when inputing data into a text field object) that can do addition - basically so that while the keyboard is active you can add numbers then store the sum in the text field object upon dismissal.

Do you know of any example apps with custom keyboards? Or do you have any idea how I could get started with this upgrade? Below is a screenshot of the app - I thought it might help a bit.

I appreciate the help and suggestions.

Yes, you could use the begin editing delegate method of the text field to show a custom view. You could then setup your own keyboard delegate that points to the text field so when the user presses one of your custom keys, it adds the character to the text field pointed to by the delegate.
