What can be hidden under the status bar?

Hi I am a beginner.
I have a tabbar controller with 5 tabs. When I tried to set one of the root_view's statusbarstyle=UIStatusBarStyleBlackTranslucent. I found that there is something weird located beneath the status bar(see the pic, just above the time)

I have tried other tab's view, and they are all the same case. I guess i inserted something in the tabbarController.view or the window of the MainWindow.xib, but i didn't find out any after several hours. Could anyone can tell what is hidden there? Thanks.

It looks like a Navigation Bar with the default title "Item", but for some reason pushed up so it's not fully visible.

Yes, it is "item" of the navigation Bar. I thought it was coinciding circles.
