UIImage mask

Hello everyone,

I've been searching a while and have not found anything that can help me.

So I am trying to display 2 images on my iPad application, placed one on top of the other.

I wish to use my finger to swipe left and right and by doing so, move a gradient mask to hide a portion of the top image, thus revealing part of the image found underneath.

How could I do this?

As I have said, I've been looking on the web with no luck, the best I've got so far is using a gradient mask which makes part of the image black, this is where I would like to have it transparent.
