present modal view

here is the situation


i have the 1st view controller when it loads i add a subview of another controller 2nd view controller to it.
when i try to call presentmodalview it removes the 2nd view controller'view and nothing happens


anyone had this issue before ?????????????

It's difficult to say without the code

Try changing to a navigationController; with hidden navigation bar. Because, allways adding subviews is not a great idea. (memory related).
And sure you're not calling the modalviewcontroller on the superview instead of the second view. think theres the problem..
Need to learn abit bout design patterns in iphone imo.
