Trying to Learn on 4.2 but most tutorials using 3.0

Hi can some one help me please. I'm trying to learn and things seem to go ok and then when I start trying to connect up the actions and outlets in interface builder it never goes as described in the tutorials.

Can someone explain the main difference between 3.00 and 4.2 when make connections? I see that the library tab now has Objects Classes and Media in it but it doesnt seem to work the same way as in the tutorials I see.

Im very new to this, sorry if what Im asking is elementary.

Id really appreciate any and all help.

I can't think of anything that is so different between 3.0 and 4.2 that would prevent you from figuring out what needs to happen. Ask specific questions if you want better answers.

theres no major differences that i can think of. Everything you learn with 3.0 is directly applicable. you talked about making connection, so IB right? I dnt think IB has had any real changes at all since 3.0
