Default New to iOS Dev

I'm new to iOS development and need some help with a simple app I am writing.

I've got a navigation app that asks you to select a location using UITableView which then loads a new view. This view then has a UIPickerView a slider and a button.

I have managed to bind the tableview to some data and like wise with the picker but the view only displays the picker and for some reason the slider and button disappear.

Is this expected? Do I have to load controls into a tableview or something?

Cheers

Are you saying that on the Root view you have a table of locations, when you click on a location it takes you a second view?

On the second view is supposed to be a picker, slider and a button but the latter 2 does not appear?

If I understood this correctly then you'll need to post some code. Perhaps start with the code to displays the slider and button on the second view.

You have understood correctly.

I haven't written any code for the slider or button yet, simply dragged them on and assumed they would be there but not functional. Is that not how it works?

I'm used to .NET development so you will have to forgive my ignorance.

If I remember correctly, when you Interface Builder (IB) to lay out your UI it should show up if you decide to build and run it without actually linking it to any code.

Did you attempt the the Hello World tutorial? It is a good start for anyone switching over to Objective C.

I would suggest that your error is related to something other than IB.
