You could buy the book called : iPhone and iPad Apps for Absolute Beginners

Amazon.com: iPhone and iPad Apps for Absolute Beginners (Getting Started) (9781430227007): Rory Lewis: Books

baja_yu has a spectacular aura about

Start at Apple Developer

Download Xcode and iOS SDK, install it. To install apps on your phone you need to be a member of the paid Developer Program ($99/year), then you need to create a development certificate and provisioning profile for your device.

Agree with Baja.

But I still recommend buying a beginners book as the above as it also tells you how to do what baja told you as well as showing you how to get started.

There are also PDF versions of the book that you can buy and download so you don't have to wait for the mail.

You can also save your $99 for now and run your code in the iphone simulator on your mac to start with.
