Signer is not valid error
I have an iPod Touch (iPhone) app that I developed using my own development license and that I've distributed to beta testers via Ad Hoc distribution. I have subsequently sold the [unpublished] app to another company, for whom I'm consulting to continue the work. They now have their own development license and I've recompiled the program BY THE SAME NAME IN THE SAME FOLDER after setting what I believe were all the appropriate certificates in xcode for this app. I created a new Ad Hoc distribution just like before (per my uncertain memory). A *new* beta tester that's never had the old program in their Windows iTunes just tried to install the app. He got an error "signer is not valid".
Two questions please.
1 - When one gets this error message, are there utilities I can run to look at the actual app [package, folder, whatever you call it] and determine the signer info, as well as at the mobile provisioning file. Doing so, I might be able to SEE where I have something mismatched. (Since this tester never had the old program, it's not a case of some leftover on his computer. It must be a problem in what I sent him.)
2 - Otherwise, can someone possibly provide a concise list of what items I need to change, or make sure I changed?
Thanks very much.
