Transferring Music to iPhone

Hey Everyone,

I need to build an iphone app that will communicate with ASP based site that offers similar functionality as myspace. That is, artists can upload their music and organize it in playlists and users can create their own playlists and populate them with songs of different artists.

I haven't built any iPhone app before but I understand that it can communicate with the site through the web services that the site offers. When it comes to textual information I see no problem (for instance get the list of songs in a playlist for a user). However I would like to know how the iPhone app can access the mp3 files on the server.

Looking forward to hearing some solutions.

assuming that you have a link to a mp3 file (you can parse it from xml webservice response), you can download with ASIHTTPRequest or NSURLConnection.

basically is the same thing that communicate with webservice.
