Localization of WebViews wasting lots of space

I have an educational/travel app that has quite some info in html pages displayed in UIWebViews - for conveinience - and it works fine.

Localization is also easy, nothing to do but add localized versions of all pages. The problem is, I have to localize all images and movies too, even if they are the same for all languages and that takes a lot of space. But if I dont the files are not found.

Is there any way around? I really need the app to fit into 20MB and have 3 languages (7 later) planned and it wont fit the way it is.

Why don't you make the shared image URLs point to a common (non-localized) subdirectory?

you mean like URL="../all/imagename.jpg" or just URL="../imagename.jpg"?

I tried that but it didnt work, do I have to use a different syntax?
