question about updating online and saving to db

Hi im a newbie at iphone programming and im making a simple currency converter for my class project..

i know that in order to check the wifi you use the reachability class
i know how to use the sql lite for my database

my question is, im planning to add a button where when the user push the button it will connect online and updates all the currencies saved in the database.. so how do i do that? any suggestions?
