Default Mobileprovision file not being created

I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help as I don't know how well I'll be explaining this, but when I try a build an app for Ad Hoc distribution the *.mobileprovision file is not being created alongside the *.app file.

This is the second app I am distribution via the Ad Hoc method and it works perfectly for the first one so it's not like I haven't done it before.

The only difference i can think of is that with the second app I didn't create the App ID as just '*', I created it as com.xxxxxx.yyyyyy. I have even changed the Bundle Identifier to be the same but still no luck. In the first app I just left it as "com.yourcompany.${PRODUCT_NAME:rfc1034identifier} " but not in this one.

So, does anyone have any ideas as I have been at this for two nights now and soon won't have any hair left!

Thanks.

Why are you bothering about Xcode putting the mobile provision file alongside the .app file? You download the mobile provision file from iTunes connect, right? So it should be in your downloads folder. You can move it wherever you want on your own. You don't need Xcode to do that for you.

That's what I did in the end but wasn't sure if it was the correct way of doing things. I assume that you use that method as well?

Why would Xcode put the file there for one app and not the other though? If the above works then fine but I'm curious as to why one at not the other.
