Display different images depending on device

I am fairly new to iOS programming and was wondering if it is possible to display a different image (higher resolution) in an image view when the app is installed on an iPhone4, rather than 3G/S?

Yes thats easy just at the lagre iamge with the same name to the project en @2xto the name.
Example:
backgorund.png and background@2x.png

PLease do read the apple documentation on starting iPhone development, this would have told you this.

Thank you. I read the part about adding "@2x" after images but thought it only applied to app/search icons etc. I'll have another read through the documentation.

Yes it will also work for other images.
