Do NSUserDefaults reset to default after app update?

Hey,

Does anyone know if the NSUserDefaults settings of an app reset to their default values if the users update to a new version? I'm asking this because I'm saving high scores in NSUserDefaults, and I don't want them to be lost every time I release an update. Thank you very much!
