Default App takes longer to load up?

My app seems to have a bit of lag when I start it up. What could be the cause of this? Is there any way I could fix it?

hahah cool! I am a 14 year old developer! And i think the best way is to distract them with a default.png photo, so it does not seem so long. Another way is not to add so many animations and hard code that might be pointless. Of cores you can @synthesize stuff, witch might sake it faster. Other than that there are no other ways that i know of.
Thanks Brandon

What does the @synthesize do? All I have is a nstimer in the viewdidload and code to stretch a uiimage. Would the default.png actually work too?

Yes the default.png will add a splash screen to your app. And the @synthesize is nothing important, just in your .h file add IBOutlet UIImageView *imageName
and you should be good!
