I am developing an application for iPhone

However I am confused on a few points :

1 >Should the application also work on ipod ?
and do I need to take any specific care for this ?

2 >which version of iphone should it support

As long as your app is not only using camera/video capturing or other iPhone only (until the 4th gen iPod). It should run on it's own on the iPod touch.
Prior to 4.0 I used to target 3.1 in all my apps. But I am starting to target 4.0 from now on.
