Default splitviewController detail view not filling up screen

When i start my program and im in landscape mode for some reason my detailView takes up onlly half of the size it is supposed to take up. Any one have any ideas on how to fix this?

How did you create your SplitViewController. Through code or IB. If through IB what did you change from the default views that it creates?

I created it in IB since i just used the template for a new splitview controller, i dont think i changed anything to be exact but ill go mess around with the options in IB to check it out. I hope this lil bit helps you so you can help me
