What do you mean by "take out"? You want to remove it?

Take a look here: http://developer.apple.com/mac/libra...actersInRange:

Specifically the deleteCharactersInRange method.

For mutable strings, look at the method deleteCharactersInRange:

For immutable strings, you have to extract a subrange and pass it to a new string.

just try it !!!!

NSString *str=@"my name is ameen!!";
first get the length of the string into an integer using length method...
int len=[str length];
and after that get the last character by substringfromindex...
NSString *temp=[str substringFromIndex:len-1];
NSLog(@"%@",temp);
