Default capturing location details for iphone

Hello,
I dont have an iPhone and am new so really dont know - hence asking .

1 >Can I programmatically capture the current location gathered through GPS of the phone ?

2 >Also can I programmatically store this location preference of the user on the iPhone ?

Can someone point me to some sample or link ?

Thanks,
~ramdas

Yes, and yes.

Your search term is: CoreLocation

Thanks
I did see some examples
Now when try them using CoreLocation - I get a pop up on simulator asking me if I should allow or not allow usage of current location .

Is there any way to prevent this popup programmatically ?
Can I customize the screen ( fonts , colours , removal of "dont ask me again" check box etc )
Can I override it with my own screen ?

Thanks,
~ramdas

Thanks Brian

Last question
So other than CoreLocation is there any other way to locate latitude , longitude

Asking since in my requirement client states that this screen should only be shown once ( the pop up which asks for allow / disallow)

If there is no other way and if using the CoreLocation is the only way forward - then I guess the client didnt know this and I for a fact didnt - otherwise I would have rejected it in the first place

Please kindly confirm - this will help me move forward .

Also is there a way to write any code on the click of the buttons ( allow , dont allow) ?
Thanks,
~ramdas

After the user gives permission, I don't believe the dialog will appear again.

No, you cannot simulate clicks on this dialog.

CoreLocation is your only option.

You are trying to work around this system. Even if you succeed technically, this is how Apple wants it to work, so you will be rejected. Your client will have to adapt.
