Default Can you install previous version of the SDK side by side

Im trying to get my xCode to contain all iPhone sdk's from 4 back to 3.1 so that I can build my app for previous versions. But when I download the DMG files, it seems to only allow me to have an xCode with SDK versions 2 - 3.1 OR 3.2 - 4, not all together.

How can I install the SDK's into one xCode so I can build for all different OS versions?

I know I can set the base SDK in xcode, but the options I have are only 3.2 or 4.0, I cant seem to install the 3.1 or earlier SDK's how can this be done?

Thanks a lot
Mark

You don't need anything other than the latest SDK to build for any iOS. Just set the deployment target in the project and target settings.

oh, ok, so you mean the "iPhone OS Deployment Target" propert?

If so, why isn't the 4.0 option available? I can select 4.0 in the "Base SDK" but not the iPhone OS Deployment Target, is this because the deployment target is the lowest entry point for the app?

Got it solved, seems that you only need to set your Target to the lowest entry point and build against the newest, you then need to do runtime checking of classes and libraries that might be available depending on the version if iOS that you are running.

You would only need to install previous versions of xcode to get older versions of the simluators
