What I mean by wireless is there a way to develop an app that shows up on your iPhone via wifi? Say for instance you walk into an Apple store and your phone ask you do you want to use the Apple store iPhone app. You click yes and then you have a new app on your phone that you can use while your in the store. Once you leave the store the app ask you do you want to disconnect and then the app is no longer on your iPhone. All this done via wifi.
I read a news story about this a while ago, maybe it was about a patent, but anyways it was about how the iPhone could automatically download an app based on location, like in a restaurant download a menu app.
Unfortunately I can't seem to find it.

I agree with mgriffin, its definetly possible, but apple makes it iffy. The only thing I could think of that might get accepted is if u made an app that would run in the background since they now allow multitasking and that would check ur location periodically and then if u went to a certain place it would give a notification with a link to the app you want to download. but the downside is that the user has to already be running the first app to get the notification...

Here's why you won't see it. Picture driving by a restaurant using your maps app for directions. Then it gets interrupted by an annoying prompt to download the menu app. If that ever happened I would sell my phone.
